add contact on emesene

Unless you i'm an Italian and use ubuntu 8.0 with emesene but today the program I noted that a contact I had added to his list, when I add the program emesene me indicates the following error:

"you can not be added: invalid application header application id is either not defined in database or blocked from acces"

dding other contacts I have the same problem, I apologize if my English is not very correct and expect your news

Same problem here. This does not happen with pidgin, or galaxium when I get the "add contact" dialog.

I would recommend waiting for an update through your distibution's repository. If you can't wait, I found the below procedure to be working :

Go to sourceforge.net,(http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?group_id=168206&use_mirror=osdn&filename=emesene-1.0.1.tar.gz&79001655) and download the latest release 1.01 (.tar.gz). In ubuntu emesene is installed under /usr/share/emesene/ ; open the directory as root. Then extract the contents of the .tar.gz inside the emesene folder replacing older files. Don't forget to keep a backup of the plugins_base folder so you can paste them back'''

I guess it still doesn't work. True, I don't get that error anymore, but I still can't add new contacts.
