I had some time this week to hack emesene.

So i finished msnp15 single sign-on =D, Offline Messages don't work and some minor bugs are there.

A new emesene stable release is coming, for now just svn up in your emesenepequince copy.

Hi there, we have upgraded to MSNP15 to fix the problems some people had with 911 errors on login. It's not complete and bug-free yet, there are some problems with contacts (no cache updates, nicknames turn into "1", etc), but if the other error bothers you enough, checkout a svn copy with the following command:


Then do cd emesenepequince and ./emesene as usual.

Yes, I didn't ask anyone about the codename.

Distributions: This is a full svn export, equivalent to emesene-1.0-dist.tar.gz.

• setup.py is there, and I believe that it still doesn't work with python2.4
• misc is there, with all the icons and related stuff
• Licenses are there too, COPYING, GPL, LGPL, PSF

Tell me if I missed something, and update ASAP, because this is what I'd call critical

Windows users: Sorry, no update for you yet. j0hn is the new windows mantainer, and I haven't seen him yet. Someone tell him about this, and he may package something. Update: notified, and someday emesene 1.0.1 will be released

I just added this to the homepage, and thought it would be needed here too

Important: Some of the MSN contact list servers started to reject old clients, which unfortunately includes emesene 1.0. If you are experiencing problems, update to SVN (either trunk or stable).

We will release emesene 1.0.1 along with some bugfixes soon.

ok guys, this is what has been done so far:

svn changes

for developers:
if you have a patch, or coded a plugin, or you're willing to integrate some existing plugin in another, or whatever (NOT feature request please ) then CONTACT US!

for users:
if you are using EMESENE TRUNK (read: unstable, not the one from ubuntu repos i mean..) then you can install and use THIS PLUGIN for all your plugin needs!

just download it, put it in your ~/.config/emesene1.0/pluginsEmesene directory, reboot emesene and voilà, it will be on top on your list, clicking on configure, you can choose between the available user plugin to be installed on your system, and from this window, you can update the installed ones too!

beware, this is still buggish, but seems is doin his dirty job..if you want to contribute, feel free to do it

NOTICE: if you install/upgrade a plugin, emesene MUST be restarted in order to accept changes (YEAH, LIKE WINNOWS!!!!!!)

For example, you can get always the latest PlusPlus plugin for EVERY GRADIENT/COLOUR and even TAGS REMOVING thanks to mohrtutchy, or completion, imitate, translate etc. thanks to boyska, alvarola, otacon and everyone i forgot!
